28 Feb1,000 Lovely Things — Frozen Waves and Mini Icebergs

When it’s warm enough Zoey and I often walk up the block to this cute little park that sits right on the lake. It hasn’t been warm enough in a very long time to go anywhere near the lake, but the other day it wasn’t too bad, so we ventured over. This is what we found:

The path is in the bottom right corner, and the "lake" technically starts directly after the row of giant rocks.

Notice the frozen waves and the hundreds of tiny icebergs floating way out from the coastline. In the top left is a lone seagull … he must have been cold! It was strangely beautiful, the photo from my phone doesn’t quite do it justice.

Zoey kept an eye on a mom and young child who were playing on the (very) frozen waves.

We came back a few days later, and everything had melted. Back to good old chilly, liquid waves!
