09 Mar1,000 Lovely Things — Mystic Fog and a Horizon Gone Missing

Yesterday was an extremely foggy day. When Zoey and I walked up to the park, the lake was absolutely stunning. The horizon was completely hidden, and you couldn’t even tell where the lake ended and the sky began. It was beautiful, so naturally I stopped and took lots of pictures!

Zoey didn't care about the fog or the lake, she just wanted to know when we could get back to walking

When its dark, or the weather is like this and you can't see the horizon, I like to pretend I live on the edge of the world! For instance, in my mind -- beyond those rocks, the world just drops off!

The fog set in even more heavily last night, and crept into our neighborhood. As I gave Zo her last walk for the evening it felt like we were walking around on the set of a horror movie. It was a little eerie and kinda fun!

Today wasn’t nearly as mystical, but the lake was still pretty foggy and I wanted to take just one more picture since it was so beautiful. I love having such an amazing park just a block away.

If you look behind the three twigs you can almost see the skyline above the row of trees. Almost.
